Best Clam Chowder I ever had! Had the lobster mac as well and that was delish. I do wish they would have had a little more butter on the lobster but the meal was still extremely good!
While walking Newport and seeing many amazing places to eat we chose Gas Lamp Grille. Food was great Lobster Mac and Lobster Roll hit the spot. Just the right amount of flavor between the cheese in the Mac and LARGE pieces of lobster. The Roll almost had me rolling out my seat with the amount of lobster. Staff were very friendly and service was great. We definitely will be returning during our stay.
This place was our first stop and our waiter was Cade! This is a lively bunch! More of a traditional down home good ole boys gathering place! Football fans! Lots of cheering! Food is good Cade gave us great suggestions! We enjoyed the REAL atmosphere!!
Came in around 9:30 for their late night menu, and as far as late night menus go theirs was pretty extensive. Smash burger was pretty good although it was pretty small. The portion size of the fries made up for this, there were lots of fries included and they were very good. Drinks were a little on the pricy side but excellent and fairly large as far as mixed drinks go. Bartender/server was friendly and did a great job making sure everyone was attended to. Live musician sounded great throughout the night.
Stumbled across this cute restaurant while strolling through Newport. I had a specific craving for lobster Mac and cheese. Originally planned to eat at another restaurant for Lobster Mac and Cheese but theirs had spice to it. I wanted to try Gas Lamp Grille instead. Delicious and filling meal.
Absolutely wonderful! The lobster roll with sauteed lobster and butter was delicious — it was very nice how it was mainly composed of claw meat, and not just tail meat. The warm apple tart was also very nice, and the service was excellent!
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect on a busy Saturday. The restaurant was busy and our service was pleasantly attentive and appropriately brought out to the table. We knew we were over ordering when we ordered the nachos, fried pickles and fried brussels sprouts along with a huge salad. Our waiter warned us, which was very nice of him, but we wanted to try and take the rest home. Really great place and we will definitely be back
Bartenders Alex & Brian are a vibe and make a great team together! Stopped in a few times over the weekend no only did they remember us each time but the kept the entire place alive, fun, and on point. Food & drinks are delish can’t wait to come back!
